President

Hi everyone! I’m currently a third year student also working towards my LPCC. I am completing my internship at Irvine Unified School District and completed my practicum experience at Orange Unified! Within the field, I naturally gravitate towards all aspects surrounding mental health but am also passionate about early intervention for pretty much anything a student may need support with (behavior, academic, social-emotional). I have done some independent research (with Tori) about supporting student reentry into school after a psychiatric hospitalization, and now that topic has just kind of stuck with me! Aside from life in the program, I love being social with friends by going on hikes, getting dinner, or just going out for drinks! I like a good balance on weekends and also enjoy watching some of my favorite shows with my pup, Milly. Some of our favorite shows are Friends, Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy (the older seasons of course), all things Bachelor/ Bachelorette, and Beat Bobby Flay!! I’m so excited to be CUASP’s President for the 2021-2022 school year and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish!

Vice President

Hi everyone! I am currently in my third (and final!!) year of the school psychology program with an emphasis in professional clinical counseling (LPCC). I completed my practicum hours at Orange Unified School District and LPCC hours at Anaheim Union High School District. Now, I am working at Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District for my internship. In the field of school psychology, I am interested in promoting mental health and conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations (yay RIOT!). I have also presented with Jasmine B. on supporting re-entry after psychiatric hospitalizations, so that has become a passion of mine! Outside of my time in class and internship, I love escaping reality through books and TV shows (please send me recommendations!) and spending time with my friends. Pre-COVID, I traveled a lot and am looking forward to getting back to that soon. I could not be more stoked to support the program as CUASP’s Vice President and I can’t wait to meet you all!

First Year Representative

Hi friends! My name is Jessica Wright and I am a first year school psychology student with an emphasis in professional clinical counseling (LPCC). I will be applying for my practicum position next semester but am hoping to stay in the Orange County area. During my undergraduate career, I volunteered at both Keck Medicine and St. Jude hospitals and conducted research on PTSD patients through my school's social work program. These experiences were incredibly memorable and fulfilling, motivating me to find a career that blended my love of public health, education, psychology, and service to others. In the field of school psychology, I am passionate about prevention, threat assessment & management, and research on trauma, foster youth, and resiliency. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, going on walks by the beach, skateboarding, and finding new restaurants to try with friends and family. I am so excited to support the program and represent my cohort as CUASP's First Year Representative for the 21-22 academic year!

CASP Representative

Hello! I am currently a second year in the School Psychology Program and pursuing the LPCC certificate. I am completing my practicum in the Anaheim Elementary School District and have been loving it so far! Aside from school and practicum, I also private tutor students from K through 8th grade! I love getting to interact with students on a one-on-one basis and seeing them grow. As I continue to pursue my degree, I hope to be better equipped in minimizing the stigma around mental health within the Asian American community and presenting culturally appropriate systems in the schools. During my (limited) free time, I like to go hiking with my sister and two corgis, visit coffee shops, and hang out with friends over a yummy meal. If you're into coffee or interested in coffee, I could go on and on!
